Went for a kinda long hike near Lake Chabot – took a ton of photos, and ended up quite pleased at how they turned out! (Initially, because of the flat lighting and grey sky, I was worried that there wouldn't be much that caught my eye.)
I'd been on shorter out-and-backs here before, but with more time, I decided to explore a little further – I'd heard, after all, that the trail did eventually lead down to the lake.
Ended up being out there for a couple hours. Never quite got down to the lake shore, but one of the trails got just above it (with a very steep bank covered in poison oak...).
Also there: a truly incredible number of birds – most of them hiding in bushes. There must've been like 15-20 kinds of bird that I either saw or heard (many just the latter).
Anyways. Enjoy the photos – more of them have little stories, this time :)
