The final picture from an adventure out taking photos in Marin

Usually I don't my tripod much when out and about taking photos – and the times I do, it's not quite good enough to get the job done. But here, it allowed me an exposure time that was just long enough to capture this as-is.

The soft lighting from all the buildings in downtown San Francisco, glowing piece-by-piece as they turn their lights on for the night. It was beautiful to see in person, and I'm glad that it translated reasonably well into this photo.
