Merritt Courthouse
Picture of the courthouse across Lake Merrit. It's a tall but stout art-deco building, with sharp angles and flat columns interspersed with giant windows on each side. The square roof slopes up to a single tower and flagpole at the top. A variety of large trees shroud the base of the building in front of the lake, and on the lake there's a small army of seagulls and cormorants perched on floating dividers.
