Two crows flying off the tallest spire on the church at Merton College, Oxford
This picture was taken from the road right next to Merton College, where I was standing for about 15 minutes in the same spot, just trying to get a satisfactory picture of the crows.
They were slowly coming and going, but I could never tell where they were going to land – and tracking them from a distance was certainly challenging as well! At one point, I saw a crow land on the side with the most beautiful flourish of its wings, but I wasn't prepared enough to take a picture of it. That alone probably convinced me to spend an extra ten minutes there without taking a single other picture.
