One of the things that surprised me was just how many planes we could see, once we were out in the open. Perhaps it was the clear sky & other weather conditions that made them more visible – there was a while where we could see no less than 15 making their way across the sky at the same time.

Most of them were heading south, as were these three – to a wide range of destinations.
